Today it was revealed by Deadline that American Horror Story has been renewed for an additional two seasons. This news comes two months after it was revealed AHS had been renewed for Season 7.

There is no information as of yet with regards to what Season 8 or Season 9 will be about. However, do we really need to know what they will be about to get excited?

When discussing the approval of more seasons, FX Networks CEO John Landgraf had this to say:

American Horror Story launched the modern limited series revolution and – as evidenced by the most recent installment ‘Roanoke’ – it remains as vital today as when Murder House stunned audiences six years ago,” said FX Networks CEO John Landgraf. “Each new chapter is a cultural event, beloved for every new twist in imagery, style, cast and plot.”

American Horror Story: Roanoke was arguably one of the most successful seasons of the horror anthology series. It took us by surprise with its new marketing campaign and how it kept many of the season’s secrets under wraps, taking viewers on sharp twists and turns. I am personally very interested to see what Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk will present us with next.

What do you think of this news? Are you excited? Or do you just want AHS to go away? Let us know in the comments below.
