The Big Star Wars Announcement Is…Force for Change
Color us a little too optimistic in expecting a sneak peek at the eighth installment to the Skywalker Saga, Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Good Morning America hyped us up for a “BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!” and then gave us…an Omaze campaign. Well played, GMA. Well played. You can check out the full announcement below.
Misplaced disappointment aside, Star Wars: Force for Change is back! Stars Daisy Ridley and Mark Hamill announced Force for Change, a charity event that is offering fans the opportunity to win three once-in-a-lifetime Star Wars experiences.
Force for Change first began the year Star Wars: The Force Awakens started production, and has been going on strong since then. It has offered participating fans neat perks going anywhere from exclusive t-shirts and personal digital thank yous to set visits where they can meet with the cast, and so on. Partnered with Omaze, 80-percent of the proceeds donated toward Force for Change goes to UNICEF and, for this current campaign, Starlight Children’s Foundation.
This time around, Face for Change is offering fans an overnight stay at Skywalker Ranch, a set visit to the upcoming Han Solo movie as well as a walk-on appearance in the film, and join the cast at the premiere of The Last Jedi.
