Welcome to the Legion!

Hey guys! I have two rumors for us this week and, yes, they are both about Star Wars: The Last Jedi. As we are slowly but surely creeping up on the December 15th release date, more rumors seem to be coming up! — Fun news for those of us who enjoy rumors and spoilers.

And, for those of you who don’t enjoy rumors and spoilers but perhaps opened this article anyway for some weird reason, PLEASE STOP READING NOW!!!!! RUMORS AND SPOILERS to follow!!!

Alright, you’ve been warned. Here you go:

1.) Yes, there is a Space Horse in Star Wars: The Last Jedi and, no, it’s not called a “Space Horse.”

Apparently if it acts kinda like a horse and looks kinda like a horse, it’s not actually a horse. — Not in the Star Wars universe(s) anyway.

The creature, whom Making Star Wars originally called a “space horse,” is actually called a “falthier.”

MSW reported that the falthiers are “high-dollar race horses.” They are light brown in color and will be featured in a scene with Finn. As the rumor further states, Finn and Rose will steal one of the falthiers during a chase scene.

I love this. Of course, the entire concept has a fun Space Western thing going for it which I find very entertaining. But, in my opinion, it’s also a fun concept because it makes me think about the history of Star Wars. Before speeders and x-wings, everyone was probably riding around on falthiers, right?! Just as we rode horses before we had planes, trained, and automobiles.

Maybe I’m getting ahead of myself but the news of the falthiers expanded my understanding of what the past could have been like in Star Wars and that blew my mind a little bit.

2.) General Leia Organa will be captured and taken to Snoke in the first act of Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

According to Blasting News, as originally reported by Nerdist, General Leia will be captured by The First Order and taken to Snoke. This is suspected to be one of the first opening scenes of the film.

The scene sounds as though it will be brief. However, even if this scene is brief, I’m sure it is going to be awesome. In my opinion, this sounds like a very smart way to quickly and effectively give the audience a taste of General Leia’s emotional and mental state as well as what her motivation will be throughout the film, insight into the relationship between General Leia and Snoke, and a greater understanding of why and how Ben Solo became Kylo Ren.

I am pumped for this scene.
