The Defenders Fight in a Long Hallway in the New Trailer

Netflix just released the first full trailer to their next Marvel television series, The Defenders. This is the team-up we’ve been waiting for since Netflix and Marvel announced the eventual low-key Avengers of New York’s boroughs. You can check out the trailer in the video below.

Marvel’s The Defenders follows Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), Luke Cage (Mike Colter) and Iron Fist (Finn Jones). A quartet of singular heroes with one common goal – to save New York City. This is the story of four solitary figures, burdened with their own personal challenges, who realize they just might be stronger when teamed together.

In the trailer, we’re re-introduced to the members of the team, with Jessica getting bailed out by her new lawyer Matt, and Luke engaging in fisticuffs with the new kid, Danny and his glowing fist. Along the way, we meet Sigourney Weaver as the big bad, and we also see Elektra (Elodie Yung) alive and kicking…Matt straight through a window.

And yes, our heroes are caught in another long hallway fight scene. At this point, you might as well, right? This better be the last one. On the upside we see Elektra clad in her best, bright red ninja attire, menacingly approaching a distracted group of heroes with her weapons in hand. Slay, girl, slay.

Marvel’s The Defenders will launch globally on Netflix in August 18, 2017.
