E3 2017: Skull and Bones May Be the Pirate Game We’ve Been Craving
Earlier this week at E3 2017, Ubisoft announced Skull and Bones, a “shared open world” game where you are the pirate. Ubisoft Singapore took all the best bits of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag (all of the sailing missions) and turned it into a full game that lets you fight, pillage and loot to your heart’s content. Above is a behind-the-scenes look at the development Skull and Bones and what went into making its depiction of open world, multiplayer pirate life a reality. Below you’ll also find the announcement trailer as well as some sweet gameplay.
You’ll notice stinger at the end of the trailer, which hints at a particular enemy synonymous with pirate lore. We can’t wait to see what awaits below the depths of the great blue sea. Also, we’re just itching to sink other gamers in the game’s PvP mode.
About the game:
It is the Golden Age of Piracy. Renegade captains command the most powerful weapons on Earth: warships. You are a pirate captain who has refused the king’s pardon and sailed from the Caribbean to the Indian Ocean, an untamed frontier full of lavish riches. However, these waters are also a battleground where far-reaching colonial empires, powerful trading corporations, and ruthless pirate gangs clash. In order to survive, you will have to build a lethal fleet, prey upon lucrative trade routes, and ally with other pirates in your endless struggle for supremacy.
