Spike released the final trailer for their TV adaptation of Stephen King’s most frightening novella – The Mist.
This trailer definitely emphasizes the more horror elements of the work and appears to capture the notes that made the novella so fricking terrifying. After the disappointment of the 2007 film, I am greatly looking forward to seeing how the TV series pans out. Hopefully they don’t screw up the ending like the film did.
Ugh. That ending.
The official synopsis for the series is below:
Based on a story by Stephen King, Spike’s THE MIST centers around a small town family that is torn apart by a brutal crime. As they deal with the fallout an eerie mist rolls in, suddenly cutting them off from the rest of the world and, in some cases, each other. Family, friends and adversaries become strange bedfellows, battling the mysterious mist and its threats, fighting to maintain morality and sanity as the rules of society break down.
