Welcome to the Legion!

Today HBO released their running times for Season 7’s episodes of Game of Thrones and, thankfully, the devoted people at Watchers on the Wall were able to report on each episode’s length on their website.

Because Season 7 will be a shorter season, there has been a lot of attention and theorizing focused on how long episodes will be. And, now that the information has been released, I can understand the speculation. The last two episodes of Season 7 will be the longest episodes ever. Take a look at the stats below brought to you by the Watchers:

Episode 1: 59 minutes.

Episode 2: 59 minutes.

Episode 3: 63 minutes.

Episode 4: 50 minutes.

Episode 5: 59 minutes.

Episode 6: 71 minutes.

Episode 7: 81 minutes.

Episode 6 will be 71 minutes long and, in what will probably be a jampacked episode filled with a bunch of mindboggingly things, Episode 7 will be 81 minutes long. To give you an idea, the longest episode of Game of Thrones prior to this upcoming season was last season’s finale was 68 minutes long.

Last season we saw Cersei ascending to the throne now that her children are all dead. Daenerys  took off with her dragons and her army towards Westeros. And, as we’ve known for awhile now, the Night King is getting ready to head South to wage a battle for supremacy over Seven Kingdoms. Considering we don’t have much time left for the series, loose ends are going to be wrapped up in a big way with this upcoming season.

Game of Thrones Season 7 will premiere this summer on July 16, 2017. What do you think of this information? Are you looking forward to the longest episode ever? Let us know below.

  • Somehow I always felt episode 7 would be around 80 minutes, but such long episodes for the entire season is just amazing.

  • Ha, episode 4 looking like the intruder ! ?
Cant wait for the titles as well, they should reveal the first ones soon, I guess.

  • Dany looks so tiny on the back of Drogon! I’ll actually be heading over to northern Ireland to check out some of the filming sites when S7 premieres, so my geeky happiness is in complete overdrive right now.
