Today Warner Bros. Pictures (through Entertainment Weekly) released a new featurette to showcase the practical effects utilized in Blade Runner 2049, the much anticipated sequel to the original Blade Runner film. We get a glimpse at the huge sets used, the effects utilized throughout the film, and get to see and hear from some old and new faces.

As a lover of the original Blade Runner film and a lover of practical effects, this featurette makes me so happy.

The official synopsis for the movie is below:

Thirty years after the events of the first film, a new blade runner, LAPD Officer K (Ryan Gosling), unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what’s left of society into chaos. K’s discovery leads him on a quest to find Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), a former LAPD blade runner who has been missing for 30 years.
