This is Not a Drill, New Rick and Morty Coming in July
Guys, guys, guys, guys! This is not a drill. This is not a belated April Fool’s joke. This definitely isn’t a lame-ass Facebook share with the wrong date meant to mess with you. Rick and Morty Season 3 is coming Sunday, July 30, 2017! Still don’t believe me? There’s a trailer below.
During a live stream on AdultSwim.com at the Starburns Industries in Burbank, creators Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland announced in front of an audience that Season 3 is very nearly done and will premiere one month from now.
“When you ask us ‘Where’s season 3?’ and I say that they’re drawing it, I literally mean that we took too long writing it and now they’re drawing it,” Harmon said, referring to the animators.
The third season will have 10 episodes, according to Harmon, with the possibility of a fourth underway.
“Not to say that there’s a four,” Harmon corrected himself after accidentally(?) hinting that they are working on a fourth season. “There’s a PR person who is freaking out right now. Yeah let’s get real honest. We have 10 episodes.”
Rick and Morty will return at 11:30 p.m. ET on July 30, 2017.
