Yesterday Walt Disney Animation Studios released the trailer for Olaf’s Frozen Adventure. Walt Disney Animation Studios and Pixar Animation Studios are teaming up this holiday season when Disney’s new featurette Olaf’s Frozen Adventure opens in front of Disney Pixar’s original feature film Coco on Nov. 22, 2017.

Chief Creative Officer of Walt Disney and Pixar Animation Studios, John Lasseter, had this to say about the collaboration:

“I’m thrilled that Disney Animation’s featurette ‘Olaf’s Frozen Adventure’ will be coming to theaters in November with Pixar’s ‘Coco’. It’s a perfect pairing – they’re both beautiful, heartfelt films about families and how people carry traditions forward. I can’t wait for audiences to get to see both of these terrific projects together on the big screen.”

The 21-minute featurette will feature 4 new original songs. We will also get to be reunited with  the original cast and characters including Olaf (voice of Josh Gad), who is on a mission to harness the best holiday traditions for Anna (voice of Kristen Bell), Elsa (voice of Idina Menzel) and Kristoff (voice of Jonathan Groff).

The featurette is directed by  Kevin Deters and Stevie Wermers-Skelton. Olaf’s Frozen Adventure will be in theaters for a limited time beginning Nov. 22.

For those who are eagerly awaiting Frozen 2, Olaf’s Frozen Adventure serves as a bridge between the two films while also keeping us still engaged with the Disney property. Frozen 2 is slated for a November 2019 release. Until then, it looks like we’ll have to get our Frozen related fix via Disney Pixar’s Coco this year.
