Welcome to the Legion!

Vampyr's E3 Trailer Gives Us a Better Look at the Game

Vampyr is most definitely nothing like the quirky, emotional musings of Life is Strange. DONTNOD Entertainment’s upcoming game is much darker and bloodier, and we can’t wait. You can take a look at the E3 2017 trailer below.

Vampyr is a historical action role-playing game based in 1918 London, which has become a ghost town due to the Spanish Flu Pandemic. You play Dr. Jonathan Reid, a war surgeon who also happens to be a vampire. Your actions will determine the fate of England.

Oh, the complicated webs we shall weave.

London, 1918. You are newly-turned vampire Dr. Jonathan Reid. As a doctor, you must find a cure to save the city’s flu-ravaged citizens. As a vampire, you are cursed to feed on those you vowed to heal. Will you embrace the monster within? Survive and fight against Vampire hunters, undead Skal, and other monstrosities.

Use your unholy powers to manipulate and delve into the lives of those around you to decide who will be your next victim. Struggle to live with your decisions… your actions will save or doom London.

This is the first good look at Vampyr we’ve gotten in a while. There’s no post pre-alpha gameplay footage yet, but we still learn a few things. For starters, the cinematic trailer confirms that there definitely are a few more vampires walking the dank streets of London. As Jonathan, you’re constantly fighting against your base instincts as a blood sucker and keeping your vows as a doctor. Based on the decisions you make around town, some citizens will either be on your side or will try to murder you.

Vampyr is scheduled to launch this November on PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One.
