After revealing their special Comic-Con issue yesterday full of Wakandian goodness, you would think Entertainment Weekly didn’t have anything else to share from their Black Panther set. Well, that’s where we were wrong.

Today Entertainment Weekly released individual character portraits of T’Challa as well as the rest of the citizens that we’ll be meeting in Wakanda next February.

There is no denying the sheer beauty and amount of detail in each of the character’s costumes. Each costume’s detailing helps display the pride as well as the personality of their wearers. All nine portraits were shot by photographer Kwaku Alston and I adore them. To get more of a character breakdown for each individual character, please check out our article here to get more details.

The official synopsis of the film is below:

Marvel Studios’ Black Panther follows T’Challa (Chadwick Boseman) who, after the death of his father, the King of Wakanda, returns home to the isolated, technologically advanced African nation to succeed to the throne and take his rightful place as king. But when a powerful old enemy reappears, T’Challa’s mettle as king—and Black Panther—is tested when he is drawn into a formidable conflict that puts the fate of Wakanda and the entire world at risk. Faced with treachery and danger, the young king must rally his allies and release the full power of Black Panther to defeat his foes and secure the safety of his people and their way of life.

Black Panther stars Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. JordanLupita Nyong’oDanai Gurira, Martin Freeman, Daniel Kaluuya, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, with Angela BassettForest Whitaker, and Andy Serkis, whom we’ve already met in Avengers: Age of Ultron.
