Welcome to the Legion!

HBO’s Game of Thrones

Last night was a jam packed action episode of Game of Thrones, which you can read about more in our recap, but the section of last night’s episode that ramped up all of our anxieties was when our group of misfit heroes had to run for their lives and, eventually, battle on top of an ice lake against the White Walker’s wights. We won’t mention how much we were screaming at the TV when we thought Tormund was lost to us (SPOILERS: he’s not…).

Given all of the elements that would be required to execute an epic scene like this, HBO released a lengthy behind-the-scenes video of what exactly went down to get that scene to come together. You can check it out in the player below.

The official synopsis for Season 7 of Game of Thrones is below:

Daenerys Targaryen has finally set sail for Westeros with her armies, dragons, and new Hand of the Queen, Tyrion Lannister. Jon Snow has been named King in the North after defeating Ramsey Bolton in the Battle of the Bastards and returning Winterfell to House Stark. In King’s Landing, Cersei Lannister has seized the Iron Throne by incinerating the High Sparrow, his followers, and her rivals in the Sept of Balor. But as old alliances fracture and new ones emerge,  an army of dead men marches on The Wall, threatening to end the game of thrones forever.
