EW – Neon’s Gemini

Neon has debuted the full trailer for their upcoming mystery film titled Gemini. The trailer does a good job at playing up the tension, especially after a grizzly murder occurs. Lola Kirke plays that fine line between a buddy and an assistant who doesn’t quite know how to handle the possibility of being lied to.

The question I have is whether or not it is too soon to dissect the title of the film. Gemini in latin means twins, so I am wondering if that will have any significance to the story’s plot or if I am just reading way too much into it before watching the film. Neon is currently aiminig for a spring 2018 release.

The official synopsis for Gemini is below:

A heinous crime tests the complex relationship between a tenacious personal assistant and her Hollywood starlet boss. As the assistant unravels the mystery, she must confront her own understanding of friendship, truth, and celebrity.

Gemini starts Lola Kirke, Zoe Kravitz, Nelson Franklin, Greta Lee, James Ransone and John Cho. The film was directed and written by Aaron Katz.

What do you think of the trailer? I am mixed as to whether or not it gives away the plot at all, but it is definitely giving me happy neo-noir vibes. Make sure you check out the trailer below and let us know what you think.
