Meet the Series Newcomers in American Horror Story: Cult
Along with some seriously freaked up promos, American Horror Story: Cult has released a series of character photos that introduce a few new faces to the series.
As per usual, American Horror Story has been super tight-lipped about the specifics of Season 7. That is, up until now with just a few weeks left until the premiere. Show creator Ryan Murphy revealed this week that Emma Roberts is returning to the series. Cheyenne Jackson, who joined the cast in Season 5 (“Hotel”), is also returning. But while a few familiar faces are coming back, some new ones will be joining this season to round out a proper
kill list ensemble.
We already know that HBO Girls star Lena Dunham will be appearing for an episode or two, as well as Colton Hayes from CW’s Arrow. Now Alison Pill (Newsroom), Billy Eichner (Parks and Recreation), Billie Lourd (Scream Queens) have all been confirmed to be part of the new list of cast members.
The shadowy, new photos (below) introduce the newcomers and their characters’ names, all hinting what role they might play in the season. If you look closely, each one is being stalked by at least one freaky clown.
In addition to Roberts and Jackson, Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, Frances Conroy, Adina Porter, and Mare Winningham are also returning. Evan Peters and Sarah Paulson, who have starred in every season of American Horror Story so far, will be lovers for the second time in the series as Kai and Ally.
What we do know about Cult’s 11-epsiode-long season is that it will take place in Michigan, using the Trump-Clinton election as the jumping point on the theme “people who don’t have a voice in our culture.”
“People who are ignored by the current administration and who are afraid and feel terrorized that their lives are going to be taken away,” Murphy told THR.
American Horror Story: Cult kicks off September 5, 2017 on FX.
