Today Netflix released a new promo through their Marvel Entertainment Twitter account for their upcoming Marvel collaborative series, Marvel’s The Punisher. The promo showcases several new characters as well as a familiar face or two. It concludes with a focus on Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle in what looks to be an outfit reminiscent of his costume in the comics. He then transitions into the quintessential symbol of The Punisher with the familiar skull image.

Looking at the promo above, it definitely makes me think of opening credits. Do you guys think that these might be opening credits for the new show?
Frank Castle was introduced to viewers in Season 2 of Marvel’s Daredevil. It looks like he is going to be permanently on the warpath as he hunts down the people who set him up to die.
Aside from Jessica Jones, The Punisher series is probably my most anticipated series choice. When he premiered in Season 2 of Marvel’s Daredevil, there were originally concerns that this incarnation would be as disappointing as previous incarnations. However, Jon blew us all away with his performance as the villain turned antihero.
Bernthal will be joined by Ben Barnes as Billy Russo (Jigsaw for comic book fans), Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Micro, Amber Rose Revah as Dinah Madani, Daniel Webber as Lewis Walcott, Jason R. Moore as Curtis Hoyle, Paul Schulze as Rawlins, Jaime Ray Newman as Sarah Lieberman, and Michael Nathanson as Sam Stein.
Marvel’s The Punisher is scheduled for a fall 2017 release. What do you think of the new promo clip? Let us know in the comments below.
