Welcome to the Legion!

Hey Legion! I’m back with Star Wars rumors this week! Although I don’t have new rumors, I do have some exciting news that seemingly confirms a previous rumor. It’s very fun so I’m stoked to be able to share this with you today.

And, for those of you who don’t enjoy rumors and spoilers but perhaps opened this article anyway for some weird reason, PLEASE STOP READING NOW!!!!! Potential RUMORS AND SPOILERS ahead!!!

Alright, you’ve been warned!!! Here we go–

This week’s rumor confirmation:

Disneyland’s Star Wars Land will feature a FORCE TREE and voices of Yoda, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Anakin Skywalker, seemingly confirming previous rumors that the Force Tree and Force Ghosts of the three infamous characters will be featured in the upcoming film, Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

(I know that was a mouthful. But I had to get it all in there!)

So. Here’s the deal. MovieWeb reported that Disneyland will have a Force Tree in Star Wars Land which is set to open in 2019. Children will be able to climb and play on and around the tree. And, for older fans, “Jedi Literature” will be kept inside the tree. Now, this is the kicker: While walking through tree, fans will hear the voices of Yoda, Obi-Wan, and Anakin overhead.

We have heard the rumors that Yoda (voiced by Frank Oz), Anakin Skywalker (played by Hayden Christensen), and Obi-Wan (played by Ewan McGregor) would appear to Luke (Mark Hamill) and/or Rey (Daisy Ridley) as Force Ghosts in Star Wars: The Last Jedi. And this Disney news absolutely appears to support those claims.

As far as the Disneyland part of this rumor goes, I’m psyched. I think it sounds like so much fun and I’m definitely one of the many fans counting down the SECONDS until Star Wars Land opens. The thought of walking through the Force Tree and hearing Yoda’s voice gives me ALL THE FEELS.

On the film side of things, I’m a little bit hesitant. Of course, like everyone else, I’m nervous but I really hope that it’s great; I WANT it to great. The prequels weren’t… the best. But there were amazing things about the prequels that I genuinely enjoyed and, I felt, enriched my understanding of the original trilogy. I hope The Last Jedi does this blending well, and utilizes Anakin and Obi-Wan in a way that will make us all proud.
