Welcome to the Legion!

For those of us who have been speculating about whether or not Patty Jenkins will be returning to direct the Wonder Woman sequel, the wait is over. In a Variety Exclusive, it was confirmed that Jenkins will be back for the sequel.

Patty Jenkins was already hard at work on a script for the sequel prior to her finalizing the agreement to direct the upcoming installment.

Gal Gadot had already confirmed that she would be back in the Wonder Woman sequel. With Jenkins back at the directing and writing wheel, I think we can be confident that great care will be taken moving forward in the the Wonder Woman sequel.

Wonder Woman has been the success that Warner Bros. Pictures has been waiting for with their DC Cinematic Universe franchise. So far Wonder Woman has grossed $409 million domestically and $813 million worldwide, making it the top grossing DCU film from the studio.

The film is set to be released on December 13, 2019. This may change depending on shooting schedule and post-production.

What do you think of this news? Are you excited that Patty Jenkins will be back? Let us know in the comments below.
