The Punisher is Coming to Netflix Way Sooner than You Think
Marvel and Netflix are keeping strangely mum about when their next series, The Punisher, is launching on the streaming service. We do know it’s this fall, which is sooner than we all thought. Netflix released a release Tuesday morning with a redacted premiere date. Makes…sense considering the nature of the video that was also released this week, which you can view below.
The video contains some key art for the show. We catch little hints about what may be in store for ol’ Frank Castle as the camera swerves into words like “Confidential,” “Whistleblower,” and “Codename: Micro.”
While there isn’t much fanfare leading up to the next installment to Netflix and Marvel’s team-up, we do know that there will be a panel at New York Comic-Con this October. Hopefully then we’ll get the answers we need.
In The Punisher, after exacting revenge on those responsible for the death of his wife and children, Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal) uncovers a conspiracy that runs far deeper than New York’s criminal underworld. Now known throughout the city as The Punisher, he must discover the truth about injustices that affect more than his family alone. The cast also includes Daredevil alum Deborah Ann Woll reprising her role as Karen Page, along with Ben Barnes (Westworld) and Ebon Moss-Bachrach (Girls).
You can watch the motion key art below. Are you looking forward to this series? Let us know in the comments!
