We unbox the DC Collectibles Death Statue while clearly on our death beds

Hey Legion! Jenna Busch here. Jeffrey Henderson of Planet Henderson and I are doing another unboxing video. This time it’s the DC Collectibles Death statue. This is Death from Neil Gaiman’s Sandman series but from the Victorian era. This is a limited edition statue by Stanley “Artgerm” Lau which is on sale now and seemed appropriate for the Halloween season. It’s also appropriate because Jeff is clearly suffering from the plague and got me sick as well.

The details are pretty stunning here, from the sculpt of the hair to the bow on the bustle to the skull detail on the hat. The Death statue retails for around $100. It was sculpted by Karen Palinko and painted by Michael Cowart. In scale it’s 1:8 (9 inch fig)/10″.

Full disclosure, I collect these statues. I love them, both for the sculpt as well as the actual human body shape! (Okay, fine. she’s wearing a corset, but even then, it’s not overdone. You can check out our unboxing video below as well as some of the up close details in the photos below. I can’t wait to hear what you think! You can tweet us @LegionofLeia, me @JennaBusch and Jeff @PlanetHenderson. Or you can tell us what you thought in person if you’re heading out to Los Angeles Comic-Con on Halloween weekend. We’ll both be in booth 2045 and on some panels so come say hello!
