Daredevil – Vincent D’Onofrio

Today Marvel confirmed that Vincent D’Onofrio will be returning to his role of Wilson Fisk aka the Kingpin for Season 3 of Daredevil. Kingpin was a major character during the first season of the show, but had a minor role when the second season aired.

When Jeph Loeb, the head of Marvel Television, was asked about the return of Kingpin, he responded:

Vincent is an exceptional actor who returns with the incredible gravitas he brings to Fisk.

D’Onofrio will be returning with Charlie Cox (Matt Murdock/ Daredevil), Deborah Ann Woll (Karen Page), and Elden Henson (Foggy Nelson). Production on Season 3 should be beginning this year and will premiere sometime next year on Netflix.

Season 3 will be taken over by new showrunner Erik Oleson. This isn’t his first time tackling the comic book genre. Oleson has written a number of episodes on The CW’s Arrow series. This will be the third showrunner to tackle the series as Oleson is replacing Douglas Petrie and Marco Ramirez.

What do you think about this news? Are you excited? I am super down for some more Wilson Fisk. Let us know what you think in the comments below.
