Welcome to the Legion!

Pixar’s Incredibles 2

It has taken us 13 years for this moment, this glorious moment, to get a well deserved sequel of Incredibles. Now we have our first teaser from Disney/Pixar and it is fantabulous.

We get an adorable glance at Jack Jack who, at the end of the first movie, started showing amazing signs of being a highly super powered baby. It could be argued that he is possibly the most powerful member of the family. Time will tell, but the family looks like they will be learning over the course of the film how powerful Jack Jack might be based off of the trailer. Sorry, Bob. You got to hold onto your hair around this munchkin.

Fans of the movie have always been surprised that it has taken so long to greenlight the sequel to the much loved Incredibles, but Disney/Pixar finally approved it a couple of years back. I am confident in saying that, despite the teaser not revealing too much of the plot, fans of the original film will be very happy.

The official synopsis for Incredibles 2 is below:

Everyone’s favorite family of superheroes is back in “Incredibles 2” – but this time Helen (voice of Holly Hunter) is in the spotlight, leaving Bob (voice of Craig T. Nelson) at home with Violet (voice of Sarah Vowell) and Dash (voice of Huck Milner) to navigate the day-to-day heroics of “normal” life. It’s a tough transition for everyone, made tougher by the fact that the family is still unaware of baby Jack-Jack’s emerging superpowers. When a new villain hatches a brilliant and dangerous plot, the family and Frozone (voice of Samuel L. Jackson) must find a way to work together again—which is easier said than done, even when they’re all Incredible.

The sequel is directed by Brad Bird and produced by John Walker and Nicole Grindle.

The immensely anticipated sequel will bust its way into theaters on June 15, 2018.
