Behind-the-scenes of Star Wars: The Last Jedi

National CineMedia (NCM), the largest cinema adverting network in the U.S. recently launched a new movie theater pre-show called Noovie. Noovie is now presenting an exclusive big screen look at the first moments on set of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, along with a never-before-seen look at the upcoming film as part of its Noovie Backlot series. Fans should anticipate arriving at their local Noovie theater at least 30 minutes before advertised show time to see the exclusive Star Wars: The Last Jedi content.

This is only the beginning of cinema-first Star Wars previews in Noovie. As part of NCM’s relationship with The Walt Disney Studios, Noovie will also bring movie audiences an exclusive look at Solo: A Star Wars Story in 2018, before the film opens in theaters on May 25, 2018.  Other upcoming Noovie Backlot content from Disney, Pixar, Marvel Studios and Lucasfilm includes Black Panther, A Wrinkle In Time, Avengers: Infinity War, Solo: A Star Wars Story and The Incredibles 2.

Noovie gives audiences a look at “what’s Noovie” in their world, including movies, music, local and more, leading moviegoers to what’s next in entertainment. Reimagined for today’s movie audiences, Noovie replaced NCM’s FirstLook pre-show in top theaters across the country including AMC, Cinemark, Regal Entertainment Group, and 49 other regional and local theater chains. Noovie can be seen on over 20,600 screens in 1,700 movie theaters.

What to expect from Star Wars: The Last Jedi below:

Rey has heard plenty of stories about Luke Skywalker, the farm boy on Tatooine turned Jedi and hero of the Rebellion. One never quite knows what to expect after hearing such epic stories about a person. You have this ideal version of someone in your head based on the rose-colored tales others have told you. Then you mean the guy in the flesh and find something totally different. That seems to be Rey’s experience when she finally gets to meet Luke.

Rey finds the real Luke who is overpowered by regret; he’s eager to close the book on his past as he lives the rest of his days as a recluse.

I take that back. Luke isn’t entirely alone on that little island of his. There are Force-sensitive creatures inhabiting the Jedi temple alongside Skywalker. No, not the Porgs. Something else.

Elsewhere, Finn (John Boyega) has become a big deal in the Resistance. He embarks on a super cool mission to the casino city Canto Blight with Rose Tico (Kelly Marie Tran), a mechanic who works in the Resistance.

The film stars Daisy Ridley, Mark HamillJohn Boyega, the late Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Anthony Daniels, Gwendoline Christie, Kelly Marie Tran, Laura Dern and Benicio Del Toro.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is written and directed by Rian Johnson.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is hitting theaters on December 15, 2017. You can also follow “WhatsNoovie” for the latest in entertainment on FacebookTwitter and Instagram.
