Shape of Water kicked all the butt at the 2018 Critics’ Choice Awards

The results are in for the 2018 Critics’ Choice Awards

I have no words. Wait. I lie. I have all the words. Guillermo del Toro’s The Shape of Water kicked all the butt this evening at the 2018 Critics’ Choice Awards. The movie took home four awards, including best picture. The film is quickly becoming a contender for the Oscar race and I can’t help feeling super excited about that possibility.

In other news pertaining to the awards, James Franco was nowhere to be seen tonight despite winning an award. Considering the sexual harassment news surrounding him today, it was probably the best decision not to come out to the ceremony.

In the TV categories, HBO’s Big Little Lies continued to dominate the awards circuit. The show took home four more awards, adding to its rapidly growing pile of awards.
