The Incredibles are back

The Incredibles 2 sneak peek gives us everything we need.

During the Olympics last night, Disney/Pixar released an amazing sneak peek of the much-anticipated sequel to Incredibles. In this sneak peek, we see more of the movie’s plot that is sure to stir some controversy. I’ll explain below.

I’ve already seen comments complaining about this being a film where the main focus is Helen. We’ve seen these complaints consistently any time it appears that a female character is being portrayed as strong and what not. That is a whole other subject to discuss. However, if one actually watches the trailer, you can see that there is some set up going on that keeps Bob as the main focus.

Fans of the movie have surprised that it has taken so long to greenlight the sequel to Incredibles. However, Disney/Pixar finally approved it a couple of years back. I am confident in saying that fans of the original film will be very happy.

The official synopsis for Incredibles 2 is below:

Everyone’s favorite family of superheroes is back in “Incredibles 2” – but this time Helen (voice of Holly Hunter) is in the spotlight, leaving Bob (voice of Craig T. Nelson) at home with Violet (voice of Sarah Vowell) and Dash (voice of Huck Milner) to navigate the day-to-day heroics of “normal” life. It’s a tough transition for everyone, made tougher by the fact that the family is still unaware of baby Jack-Jack’s emerging superpowers. When a new villain hatches a brilliant and dangerous plot, the family and Frozone (voice of Samuel L. Jackson) must find a way to work together again—which is easier said than done, even when they’re all Incredible.

The sequel is directed by Brad Bird and produced by John Walker and Nicole Grindle. The remaining cast members are Bob Odenkirk, Catherine Keener, Jonathan Banks, Sophia Bush, Isabella Rossellini, and Brad Bird.

The immensely anticipated sequel will bust its way into theaters on June 15, 2018.
