Disney’s Christopher Robin

Disney’s Christopher Robin teaser makes us want to cry.

After releasing the teaser poster yesterday, Walt Disney Pictures has released a teaser trailer for their upcoming live-action Disney’s Christopher Robin. For many of us, we’ve been patiently waiting with concern and wonder at what exactly Disney had planned for this film. The teaser doesn’t disappoint.

Watching the teaser, you definitely get a whiff of nostalgia. You can also see how the film will definitely reach out to a grown-up audience. Many of us grew up with Winnie the Pooh. In my case, I also grew up with the TV animated series in the early ’90s. We can easily relate to Christopher Robin and his concerns in the teaser. I definitely related to his childhood rearing up and surprising him from behind. It does that on occasion.

The official synopsis for the film is below:

Disney’s Christopher Robin follows the titular character, who as a young boy used to go on adventures with his lovable stuffed animals. Now, as a grown man, he has lost his way.  Now it is up to his childhood friends to venture into our world and help Christopher Robin remember the loving and playful boy who is still inside.

The film is directed by Marc Forster. The screenplay is written by Alex Ross Perry and Allison Schroeder. The story is based on characters created by A.A. Milne.

Disney’s Christopher Robin stars Ewan McGregor as the titular character, Hayley Atwell as his wife Evelyn, Bronte Carmichael as his daughter Madeline, and Mark Gatiss as Keith Winslow, Robin’s boss. The film also features the voices of Jim Cummings as Winnie the Pooh, Chris O’Dowd as Tigger, Brad Garrett as Eeyore, Toby Jones as Owl, Nick Mohammed as Piglet, Peter Capaldi as Rabbit, and Sophie Okonedo as Kanga.

Disney’s Christopher Robin will premiere in theaters on August 3, 2018. Make sure you check out the trailer below and let us know your thoughts.
