The Titan

Sam Worthington returns to his alien roots

Today Netflix released a new trailer for their upcoming sci-fi flick The Titan. Throughout the course of the trailer, we are introduced to a dying Earth where humanity is forced to consider moving to Saturn’s moon in order to maintain the survival of the human race. However, in order to do this, some experimentation and sacrifices have to be made. This results in disastrous consequences.

The stakes are high throughout the course of the film because there is a heavy desperation to survive. The desire to accelerate man’s genetic evolution can only come at a horrific cost. These things take time, but humanity lacks the time necessary to do this safely. We get to see the side effects that forced evolution can have on the human body. Luckily, Sam Worthington is there to be the guinea pig along the way.

The official synopsis for The Titan is below:

In the near future, a military family uproot their lives so they can participate in a ground-breaking experiment to accelerate man’s genetic evolution. The goal? To relocate humanity to another planet and avoid extinction.
