The fight to be the strongest never ends in Dragon Ball Super
Dragon Ball Super is slated to go on indefinite hiatus after the conclusion of the Universe Survival Arc. The hiatus will last at least until the release of the latest film added to the Dragon Ball canon. The official title of the film remains unknown as well as the plot. However, the trailer seems to feature what looks like a Saiyan. Akira Toriyama reprises his roles as screenwriter and character designer.
“The content will shed a little light on previously unexplored topics having to do with Frieza and the Saiyans[…],” says creator Akira Toriyama. Toriyama also speaks of a long-awaited and powerful enemy, but doesn’t state who the villain will be.
Dragon Ball Super airs on Crunchyroll Saturday evenings at 7:15 p.m. Ce. Adult Swim airs the English dub during its Toonami block Saturday evenings at 9:30 p.m, and is now available to stream on FunimationNOW and Amazon Video.
If you want to catch up with the English dub, the first 39 episodes of Dragon Ball Super are now available to stream on FunimationNOW, Crunchyroll’s VRV service, and available to purchase on Amazon Video as well.
The newest film will release in Japan on December 14th, 2018. There are no scheduled release dates for the English dub as of now.
