Welcome to the Legion!

Netflix’s Luke Cage

Just when we were still recovering from the impending premiere of Jessica Jones, Luke Cage’s Season 2 release date gets announced…

Today Netflix has released the first teaser trailer for Season 2 of Marvel’s Luke Cage, which also served to announce the official premiere date for the new season. In the teaser trailer, we get a break down of how invisible the titular character is. We can’t burn him. We can’t blast him and we definitely can’t break him.

However, that doesn’t mean that no one isn’t going to be deterred from trying to beat him down. Because, as we have seen before, Luke Cage isn’t completely invulnerable.

The official synopsis of Season 2 is below:

After clearing his name, Luke Cage has become a celebrity on the streets of Harlem with a reputation as bulletproof as his skin. But being so visible has only increased his need to protect the community and find the limits of who he can and can’t save. With the rise of a formidable new foe, Luke is forced to confront the fine line that separates a hero from a villain.

Mike Colter returns as the formidable titular character. He is joined by Simone Missick (Misty Knight), Rosario Dawson (Claire Temple), Alfre Woodard (Mariah Dillard), Theo Rossi (Shades), and Finn Jones (Danny Rand). The newcomers to the series so far include Mustafa Shakir (John McIver) and Gabrielle Dennis (Tilda Johnson).

The new season of Luke Cage will premiere on Netflix on June 22, 2018. Make sure you check out the teaser trailer below and let us know your thoughts. Are you excited?
