Cary Elwes and Jake Busey have joined the cast of Stranger Things season 3
Cary Elwes (The Princess Bride, Saw) and Jake Busey (The Predator, Ray Donovan) have joined the cast of the Netflix series Stranger Things for season 3, according to Deadline. The news came from Netflix Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos in Rome today. Both actors will appear in guest roles for the streaming series.
Elwes will play the role of Mayor Kline who is described as, “handsome, slick and sleazy… your classic 80s politician — more concerned with his own image than with the people of the small town he governs.” Busey will play Bruce, a journalist for “The Hawkins Post” with “questionable morals and a sick sense of humor.”
There aren’t any plot details for the third season of Stranger Things, including a release date.
