Tamara Robertson, host of the upcoming Science Channel series SciJinks joins us on the Legion of Leia podcast!

On this week’s Legion of Leia podcast, myself and my co-host Anastasia Washington welcome Tamara Robertson! Tamara has a chemical and biomolecular engineering degree, was a finalist on Mythbusters: The Search and has a brand new show coming to the Science Channel and Discovery called SciJinks! She hosts the science prank show alongside Johnny Galecki (The Big Bang Theory) and magician Jason Latimer! SciJinks will premiere on May 16 at 10PM EST and will feature some pretty amazing tech and remarkable science!

Tamara (who I met while hosting the Science of Westworld panel at WonderCon this year) has also been working to get young women into STEM careers! I can’t wait for this show and I’m excited to share this episode with you! Some of the pranks they pull off in the show sound amazing!

Here is all the info on SciJinks: Galecki, along with science “prankologists” Tamara Robertson and Jason Latimer, test out science on unsuspecting marks, drawing from chemistry, physics, technology, engineering and more, with never-before-seen pranks that will introduce audiences to remarkable and unusual scientific discoveries. From showcasing classic chemical reactions under the guise of a cooking class to controlling the movement of objects with their brains using electroencephalography, the pranks not only contain mind-blowing science but a heaping dose of chaos too.

Check it out below! You can follow Tamara on Twitter @tlynnr85. May the Force be with you!
