Citizens doubt Luke Cage in new TV spot

Marvel released a brand new TV spot today for season 2 of Luke Cage. The clip must take place after the new villain of the series takes down Luke Cage. The younger citizens of Harlem question his strength and his ability to keep them safe. His attempts to reassure them don’t really go well. You can check out the clip below.

The official synopsis for the upcoming season is below:

In Marvel’s Luke Cage Season 2, after clearing his name, Luke Cage (Mike Colter) has become a celebrity on the streets of Harlem with a reputation as bulletproof as his skin. But being so well known has only increased the pressure he feels to protect the community. With the rise of a formidable new foe, Luke is forced to confront the fine line that separates a hero from a villain.

Marvel’s Luke Cage is Executive Produced by series Showrunner Cheo Hodari Coker (SouthLAnd, Ray Donovan) along with Jeph Loeb (Marvel’s Jessica Jones, Marvel’s Daredevil), and Jim Chory (Marvel’s Jessica Jones, Marvel’s Daredevil).

The first episode is directed by Lucy Liu. In season 2, we’ll see the return of Rosario Dawson, Theo Rossi and Alfre Woodard. Joining the cast in The Night Of‘s Mustafa Shakir, Insecure‘s Gabrielle Dennis and The Sopranos‘ Annabella Sciorra. Are you guys excited for the return of Marvel’s Luke Cage?

The series will launch on Netflix on June 22, 2018.
