Check out the action-packed new trailer and key art for Marvel’s Luke Cage season 2 on Netflix

Today Marvel released a brand new trailer and some key art for season 2 of Luke Cage, and in it, Mike Coulter’s titular hero isn’t having it anymore. A new villain has appeared and he’s actually able to make a dent in Luke’s armor-like skin. He’s not taking this lying down. You can check out the new trailer for Marvel’s Luke Cage season 2 below and lament that it’s not already June 22.

In Marvel’s Luke Cage Season 2, after clearing his name, Luke Cage (Mike Colter) has become a celebrity on the streets of Harlem with a reputation as bulletproof as his skin. But being so well known has only increased the pressure he feels to protect the community. With the rise of a formidable new foe, Luke is forced to confront the fine line that separates a hero from a villain.

Marvel’s Luke Cage is Executive Produced by series Showrunner Cheo Hodari Coker (SouthLAnd, Ray Donovan) along with Jeph Loeb (Marvel’s Jessica Jones, Marvel’s Daredevil), and Jim Chory (Marvel’s Jessica Jones, Marvel’s Daredevil).

The first episode is directed by Lucy Liu. In season 2, we’ll see the return of Rosario Dawson, Theo Rossi and Alfre Woodard. Joining the cast in The Night Of‘s Mustafa Shakir, Insecure‘s Gabrielle Dennis and The Sopranos‘ Annabella Sciorra. Are you guys excited for the return of Marvel’s Luke Cage?
