The Nun will have you praying for forgiveness
Warner Bros. released the first trailer for upcoming horror movie The Nun, a spinoff in The Conjuring universe.
Throughout the course of the teaser, we get the build up leading to Taissa Farmiga’s Sister Irene and Demian Bichir’s Father Burke arriving to an abbey in Romania. The build up leading to a spooky encounter with The Nun is done very well. The suspense raises our hackles and you can’t help feeling immensely concerned for the Sister. Also, darn those jump scares. I hate them, but they get me every time.
The official synopsis is below:
When a young nun at a cloistered abbey in Romania takes her own life, a priest with a haunted past and a novitiate on the threshold of her final vows are sent by the Vatican to investigate. Together they uncover the order’s unholy secret. Risking not only their lives but their faith and their very souls, they confront a malevolent force in the form of the same demonic nun that first terrorized audiences in The Conjuring 2, as the abbey becomes a horrific battleground between the living and the damned.
