Amazon Studios has released a brand new poster for the upcoming horror remake Suspiria. It’s based on the 1977 classic horror film of the same name by director Dario Argento. This time around, the film is directed by Call Me By Your Name‘s Luca Guadagnino and stars Dakota Johnson, Tilda Swinton, Mia Goth, Lutz Ebersdorf and Chloe Grace Moretz. The original film was loosely based on Thomas De Quincey’s essay “Suspiria de Profundis.”

Here is the official synopsis: A darkness swirls at the center of a world-renowned dance company, one that will engulf the artistic director, an ambitious young dancer, and a grieving psychotherapist. Some will succumb to the nightmare. Others will finally wake up.

In Suspiria, Dakota Johnson plays Susie Bannion, a dance student who is new to a German dance academy. Things are not quite as they seem and there may be some occult goings on. For anyone who has taken ballet classes, this might not be that uncommon. Or maybe it just hurts a lot. Six of one, right? Those of us who had to watch all the Fifty Shades of Grey movies know that Johnson was the highlight of the film, doing the best with what she had. It looks like she’s perfect here, especially since she actually has a background in dance. Plus, we’re getting a film that is largely populated with women, which still happens to infrequently.

Suspiria is in New York and Los Angeles theaters October 26, expanding nationwide November 2. Are you guys excited to see the remake of Suspiria on Amazon Prime? What do you think of the poster? Let us know your thoughts in the comments or tweet them to us @LegionofLeia.
