Brewery Ommegang and HBO release Mother of Dragons beer
Brewery Ommegang and HBO Retail Licensing have released a new beer to add to their Game of Thrones Royal Reserve Collection and this time around, we’re getting some Khaleesi bubbles! Yes, the new beer in the collection is Mother of Dragons. As you may recall, the last one in the series was the King in the North. Drink enough of it and you will know nothing. Ahem. Anyway, the new beer will retail for $12.99 a bottle. All the info and a pic of the beer is below.
The fierce and powerful Mother of Dragons, who takes what is hers with fire and blood, has been honored as the namesake behind the latest Games of Thrones beer from HBO and Brewery Ommegang. Inspired by Daenerys Targaryen, the new Mother of Dragons brew marks the third beer in the Royal Reserve Collection, a series of four limited edition beers for 2018, with each release designed and brewed in homage to four of the most epic characters engaged in the battle for the Seven Kingdoms.
Even the strongest leaders to taste this new porter blend will be compelled to bend the knee in honor of Khaleesi, the inspiration for this latest Ommegang and HBO collaboration. At 6.5% ABV, the Mother of Dragons is a blend of smoked porter and a Belgian kriek conjuring the essence of the smoke and fire breathed by her precious dragon children. Mother of Dragons is available now on Ommegang’s distribution network, both on draft and in 750ml bottles at a suggested retail price $12.99 per bottle.
So, are you drinking, Khaleesi? Let us know in the comments!
