Doctor Who finally reveals premiere date
BBC has launched the official premiere announcement for the series 11 of Doctor Who. The show will be premiering on Sunday, October 7, on the network. So, we have exactly one month and two days until the premiere of arguably one of the most anticipated series of Doctor Who in recent years.
Jodie Whittaker will be joined by an all-new cast of characters in the series, including Bradley Walsh, Tosin Cole and Mandip Gill. Also joining the series in a returning role is Sharon D Clarke. Chris Chibnall takes over as head writer and executive producer from Steven Moffat for the series.
Doctor Who follows the Doctor, an alien from a race called the Time Lords. They hail from the planet Gallifrey and have the ability to morph into new appearances when they’ve reached the end of their life. Originally, there were a certain amount of regenerations, but that was fiddled with on the writing end of things to further extend the series. I think that’s a tidy summation of how that happened anyway.
Doctor Who is executive produced by Russell T. Davies, Julie Gardner, Steven Moffat, Phil Collinson, Piers Wenger, Beth Willis, Brian Minchin, Caroline Skinner, and Mal Young.
