Today a brand new trailer for the upcoming season of Doctor Who has been released by the BBC. You can check out the trailer below. This season, we have a brand new Doctor, who is, for the first time, a woman. The role is played by Jodie Whittaker. In the trailer, we see some clips from the season. The Doctor said of herself, “I’m the Doctor, when people need help, I never refuse.” Notably, at the end of the trailer we see the message, “It’s about time.” Yes, it is indeed, both because the show has been off the air for way too long, and because it’s about time we had the Doctor regenerate as a woman. I’m so looking forward to this season. I cannot even begin to explain to you how very much.

The 11th season of Doctor Who with Whittaker will be premiering on Sunday, October 7, on the network.

Jodie Whittaker will be joined by an all-new cast of characters in the series, including Bradley Walsh, Tosin Cole and Mandip Gill. Also joining the series in a returning role is Sharon D Clarke. Chris Chibnall takes over as head writer and executive producer from Steven Moffat for the series.

Doctor Who is executive produced by Russell T. Davies, Julie Gardner, Steven Moffat, Phil Collinson, Piers Wenger, Beth Willis, Brian Minchin, Caroline Skinner, and Mal Young.

What do you think of the new Doctor Who trailer? Are you excited for the new season? Let us know in the comments.
