Nikita’s Shane West is set to play a villain in Fox’s Gotham
The Fox series Gotham has cast a new villain. Nikita‘s Shane West is set to join the series, according to Deadline. This will be the final season for the series, which has chronicled the childhood of Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz). Viewers will also recognize West from his roles in the recent TV series Salem, as well as from films like The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen and A Walk to Remember.
West will reportedly play Eduardo Dorrance, who is described as an old Army Buddy of Jim Gordon’s (Ben McKenzie). “Having lost touch with Jim after the war, Dorrance returns to Gotham years later, leading a team of elite soldiers with the goal of helping Gordon restore order to No Man’s Land. But as the scales fall from Gordon’s eyes, he realizes Dorrance’s true intentions in Gotham are much darker and more evil than he could have believed.” If the name sounds familiar to comic readers, it’s because it’s very similar to Sir Edmund Dorrance who’s alter ego is King Snake, the father of a certain villain with a highly imitateable voice. Well, the movie version anyway.
Gotham stars Ben McKenzie, Donal Logue, David Mazouz, Morena Baccarin, Sean Pertwee, Robin Lord Taylor, Erin Richards, Camren Bicondova, Cory Michael Smith, Jessica Lucas, Chris Chalk, Drew Powell, Maggie Geha, Benedict Samuel, and Michael Chiklis.
