Check out the details for Hogwarts Mystery Year 5!
Portkey Games and Jam City have announced today that they’ve released a year 5 update for the mobile game Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery. The update was released today, which Harry Potter fans know means a number of things. If you completed the quest in the game, you are now going to become a prefect for your house. (Mine is Ravenclaw, surprising no one.) You’ll also be preparing for your O.W.L. (Ordinary Wizarding Level) exams, and you’re going to be able to check out the prefect’s bathroom, which has remained tantalizingly locked for the months fans have been playing this. (You’re also going to be visiting the kitchens, which game fans know happens at the end of year 4.)
Players of Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery will now be able to hit the creepy Knockturn Alley. You must take History of Magic, taught by the ghost Professor Binns and Defense Against the Dark Arts. (You know who will be teaching if you reached the end of year 4.)
“Year Five is a pivotal year for any student at Hogwarts, with the O.W.L. exams looming, new professors to navigate, and for some, a prefect badge on their robes,” said Amanda Heaton, Executive Producer at Jam City. “We wanted to reflect the rigors of this year in the mobile game, balanced of course, with the core extra-curricular activity at Hogwarts: unraveling mysterious with your school mates. Year Five brings the most robust year of content yet to the game, and we’re excited for players to start this new chapter.”
Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery premiered on mobile devices in April and it’s free to play, though there are in-game purchases, which, for the most part, you can avoid.
