Hulu has renewed Harlots for Season 3 and if you’re not watching, do it now!

My Legion friends, if you are not watching Harlots, you are missing out. Yes, it might not be genre, but it’s historical and it’s mostly cast with women, so I’m covering it when I can. If you’re not familiar with the Hulu series, it’s about a brothel in 18th century London and it’s fantastic. The series stars Samantha Morton (Minority ReportThe Walking Dead), Jessica Brown Findlay (Downton AbbeyWinter’s Tale), Lesley Manville (Phantom ThreadMaleficent), Liv Tyler (Lord of the Rings trilogy, Armageddon) and a dozen other amazing women. Today we learned that Hulu has renewed the show for a third season, consisting of eight episodes.

Here is the info about the new season (and it contains spoilers, so if you haven’t watched yet, skip this part): Set against the backdrop of 18th century Georgian London, Harlots continues to follow the fortunes of the Wells family. Margaret (Samantha Morton) has been sent to America in chains; Lydia Quigley (Lesley Manville) is vanquished and in Bedlam. It seems that the Wells girls can free themselves of their mother’s feud, but running a lucrative brothel brings new enemies. Meanwhile Lydia, in her darkest hour, still finds a way to bite. Inspired by the stories of real women, Harlots is a powerful family drama as explored from the female perspective. The series hails from the creative team of Moira Buffini, Alison Newman, Alison Owen, Debra Hayward and Alison Carpenter.

Please treat yourself to this show. It’s a quick marathon and it’s definitely worth it. Have you guys watched yet? If so, are you excited for Season 3? Let us know in the comments! (I’m including a trailer for the first season if you haven’t watched yet.)
