New AHS: Apocalypse trailer reveals full extent of chaos

FX has released another trailer for the upcoming AHS: Apocalypse. This time it reveals a lot more of the plot and what we should expect moving forward into this new season. We are led to chaos beginning in the Los Angeles area before whatever nuclear incident takes place. A handful of people survive the incident and can be found hiding in various outposts to avoid the radiation fallout.

We are then introduced to Outpost 3, which may or may not be built underneath the Murder House? That’s one theory going around anyway. I’ll leave the rest up to you to explore in the trailer below.

This new season has been confirmed by co-creator Ryan Murphy that it’ll be a crossover between American Horror Story: Murder House and American Horror Story: Coven. As some of us might remember from the end of Season 1, we got to see a toddler version of the Antichrist post-murdering his nanny. However, Season 3 of American Horror Story had a much more uplifting ending. The witch school had decided to go public about its existence and opened up its door, bringing in new blood to nourish the ranks.

How these two come together is a bit of a mystery…

Jessica Lange will be returning to resume her role of Constance from the first season of American Horror Story. Many returning cast members will be back this season. Sarah Paulson is back as three characters this season. She will be portraying Cordelia Goode, Billie Dean Howard, and a brand new character that was introduced yesterday in a new teaser.

There is no word yet as to who Evan Peters will be playing in the new season, but my bet is still on him reprising his role of Tate Langdon. Kathy Bates, Adina Porter, Cheyenne Jackson, Billy Eichner, Leslie Grossman, Connie Britton, Dylan McDermott, and Billie Lourd are returning this season. Joan Collins will be joining this season and Cody Fern, playing the Antichrist all grown up, is also joining.

AHS: Apocalypse will premiere on FX on September 12, 2018.
