Henry Cavill is The Witcher in new teaser from Netflix

Netflix released the first official teaser on their Twitter account from their upcoming production of The Witcher. In the teaser, fans get a good first look at Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia during his costume and makeup test. I don’t know about you guys, but he is looking very much like Geralt.

Make sure you check out the teaser below and let us know what you think.

The official synopsis from the series is below:

Based on the best-selling fantasy series, The Witcher is an epic tale of fate and family. Geralt of Rivia, a solitary monster hunter, struggles to find his place in a world where people often prove more wicked than beasts. But when destiny hurtles him toward a powerful sorceress, and a young princess with a dangerous secret, the three must learn to navigate the increasingly volatile Continent together.

The directors lined up for the Netflix adaptation of the series include Alik Sakharov  (House of Cards, Game of Thrones), who will be directing four episodes, including the first episode,  Alex Garcia Lopez (Marvel’s Luke Cage, Utopia), and Charlotte Brändström (Outlander, Counterpart, Disparue). Both Garcia Lopez and Brändström will be directing two episodes each.

The Witcher will consist of 8 episodes and is aiming for a 2020 release on the streaming service. What do you think of this casting? Let us know in the comments below.
