Margot Robbie reveals true Birds of Prey movie title
Well, this news comes as a surprise. And the title is badass!
Margot Robbie revealed the official title for the upcoming Birds of Prey adaptation on her Instagram. In the reveal on Instagram, Robbie showcases the title page of the script, with a new addition scribbled on its white, pristine pages. The Hollywood Reporter did confirm that this was intentional, which can only mean one thing. The official title is – drumroll please – Birds of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn).
Margot Robbie, who will be reprising her role of Harley Quinn from Suicide Squad. Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Fargo, 10 Cloverfield Lane, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World) is set to play the role of Huntress in the film, and Jurnee Smollett-Bell (Underground, Friday Night Lights, Hands of Stone) will play the role of Black Canary. Rene Montoya will be played by Rosie Perez. Ewan McGregor (Christopher Robin, Fargo) is set to play the villain Black Mask in the film. Newcomer Ella Jay Basco was recently cast as Cassandra Cain.
Birds of Prey will be directed by Cathy Yan (According to My Mother, Dead Pigs). Christina Hodson (Bumblebee) penned the script. Margot Robbie’s Luckychap will produce the film with Sue Kroll and Bryan Unkeless from Clubhouse Pictures.
