Welcome to the Legion!

I guess it’s official! Idris Elba is confirmed to star in the upcoming Star Trek Beyond movie, the third installment to the rebooted Star Trek movie series.

Instead of sending a boring ol’ press release, or giving Entertainment Weekly or Variety an exclusive statement, Elba appears in a charity video with his Star Trek co-stars Chris PineZoe SaldanaZachary QuintoSimon PeggKarl UrbanAnton Yelchin and John Cho. He just…shows up, like “Hey, dudes, I’m a part of this too. No big.” Pegg seemed to be the only one who noticed this sudden addition.

The video itself informs fans about a new charity initiative benefiting several charity organizations like Make A Wish Foundation, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Kids Can, Direct Relief, and more. With a small donation of 10 dollars, you (and a friend) are automatically entered to win a walk-on role on the set of the new Star Trek movie. Six more winners will have the chance to meet the whole cast, tour the set, and even watch them film from behind the scenes.

“It’s all part of Star Trek: To Boldly Go, a new philanthropic initiative in partnership with Omaze,” says one cast member.

They end the video with a cool dance party, and Elba busting out some terrible (but still awesome) breakdance moves. Check it all out below:
